Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

gunnerbee

Rutters, will those 2 plants be enough for you? I have it growing through a 100' hawthorne hedge, so I could root plenty more for you, if you'd like...it roots wherever it touches the ground & I could start more plants off & send to you in 3-4 weeks, easy-peasy 8)

Lishka

rutters

WOW!!

That would be great :D

I have a lot of ground to cover so I'd love some more.

Rutters & Gunnerbee..... to sending these ere plants......

I've dug up some roots & they've all got new little buds at the base. They've also got a lot of leaves :D  Shall I cut these off, leaving just the new buds (and the roots, natch :P) or will the the stalky/leafy bits survive as well? Will post them 1st Class tomorrow to get the evening collection, so they may be in transit til Sat. morning?

Oooooo, wot to do?

rutters

I hope Gunnerbee knows more than me :'(

Pesky Wabbit

They be very much like Ivy.

All they need is a bit of stem about two inches long, two pairs of leaves and they'll root.
If the bits already have roots, they'll be well away, probably be spreading into nextdoors garden by Easter.

If I were sending this through the post, I'd get a rooted bit and cut just above two pairs of leaves. Bin the rest. No need for any protection; just shove in a thick A5 paper envelope (Jiffies are over doing it). You should get a dozen or so in a 100g letter post.

Plant the on arrival and by midsummer there will be enough cutting material for half a dozen from each of the above cuttings.

Hyacinth

Thanks a lot Wab....will do. 8)

And if the GPO keep them, like they've kept Jeannine's P-t-P, they'll be breaking out of the envelope and strangling them in the Sorting Office, then?

Rough Justice  ;D

Hyacinth

Update......10 rooted pieces have had a severe haircut & are in the 12.30pm collection - with luck you'll get them tomorrow :)

Don't want any seeds, etc. for them,  thanks.
