Knew I was stupid but.................!! Misread 500g for 50g.

They are Hunter Beans - French in taste but more Runner in shape. Truly excellent. Indoors or out. Treat as Runners. They are NOT Fothergills as on the packet.

Any takers? No swap.

Hi Tim could I please try a few, can I send a S.A.E.?

tim

No need - just PM an address.

PS They freeze better than most green beans.

Hi, if you have any left i would love to try a few. Thanks Laura

Please, if you have any left...

Always nice to try something new.

WOW - that's a lot of beans Tim :o :o  I have those to - I call them senior moments ;D ;D ;D

I'm not really into runner beans - mine always seem to be stringy so I am more a french bean person.

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning....

tim

Noted - off tomorrow at the latest.

Jitterbug - if you pick Runners young, they should not be stringy, & if you grow stringless varieties, they are stringless!

But if you want a big bean with different shape & better French Bean flavour than the the normal French Bean, do try Hunter (or Algarve or Pantheon).

Hi Tim a big thank you :) Beans arrived looking forward to trying them, interested in the "freezing" bit, at present really struggling to get my O.H. to eat any of the veg. I placed in the freezer ,so will certainly give these a go. Many thanks

bupster

Mine arrived today, Tim, many thanks indeed.
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.
