I think that just goes to prove that 9 out of 10 people don't eat beetroot. ;D

It gave me a heck of a shock the first time it happened!!!!  I'm used to it now.

A good sized punnet of raspberries does the same, if eaten at one sitting. Well I love them and couldn't put them down ;)

Yep I got a shock.........knew about beetroot but not the rasps!
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

And of course - there's the asparagus - but don't let's go there ...  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Hugh Fearlessley-Eatsitall reckons this is the best way of getting young kids to eat beetroot! Even as a middle-aged old f*art, pink pee still makes me laugh!

Cheers,
Rob ;)

I fed OH our first Wodan beetroot from the lottie earlier this year & got a worried phone call from him at work the next day.....

Yes dear, it does make your poo reddish purple, you're not going to die - Never thought to warn him!  Didn't notice pink wee tho. Hmmm.  And if like me you are on iron tablets - even stronger colour!!!

Re Asparagus, I read an article in New Scientist that it's not that it makes some people's wee smell funny, it's that only some people have the gene that means you can smell it.
is it in the sale?
