Shallots...again

I 've been reading Medwyn Williams' article about shallots, trying to find out about times of planting
if you wish to plant exhibition shallots, he reccommends the shortest day for planting, ie 21st december, into workable soil with some blood, fish and bone added
..most exhibitors plant the shallot into 9cm pots and grow in a cold greenhouse,
so, that's what Eric was talking about  ;D
