Knitter

I'm new here and just wanted to say hello! I'm Claire from Lincoln and have just taken on my first ever lottie. It's been abandoned for years and is covered in brambles higher than I am but I'm terribly excited!!! (I don't mind admitting I shed a tear or two when I got the plot last week!). I'm hoping to get it cleared over the winter and have it ready for planting in spring. Lots of hard work ahead but I know it'll be so fulfilling.

Looking forward to getting to know you all - I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you too!

Welcome, Claire.  Don't try to do too much at once. Do a bit at a time and sit back and admire the results of your hard work.  8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Claire hello and welcome to A4A.
I know what you mean about being excited about getting your lottie. When I was told I screamed and whooped around the house like a mad woman  ;D. I still smile to myself everytime I go there. I still cannot believe I have one after waiting for soooooooo many years.
Good luck with your clearing plans, take care with your back though. Bend those knees  ;)

Welcome on board Knitter.  You seem to be making good progress with the clearance, judging from the pictures.

Hehe! How cool! Please do come and say hello if you see me onsite - or shout up if you see a harrassed looking woman with anything between 1 and 4 kids and a big rucksack full of tools walking past your plot!

I should think half the reason I got it free for a year was so poor Mrs T at the council could get me off her back!!!  ;D
