Wow, my other half just found this advertised in Gardener's world magazine.  :o I seemed to remember that someone on here was on this site and so I had a quick look and found out it is you Saddad, the spooky thing is we are visiting friends in Derby next weekend so maybe (if they are ok with it and we have time) we will come visiting!!!  ;D ;D

Just had a quick look on google maps, where do we park and enter the allotments if coming to visit? Looks like it could be several different roads.

I'll look forward to it GlosterWomble..., Fork I've replied to your pm... Parking in Littleover Lane or Foremark Avenue (better). The Lotties on your right as you go down Foremark Ave are those you can see from the Ring Road, not ours! That is Normanton Allotments... winners of Derby in Bloom this year!! We were runners up this year!

DE23 6JH is my postcode if you want to Google map it.. we wrap round Normanton Cemetry!

;D

Just bumping this back up to the top for today is the day! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

WOW, we managed to get to the open day yesterday and we were bowled over by how fantastic the site is and everyone we met was lovely. We had plants forced upon us to take home from one lady!!  ;D It was great and I would highly recommend anyone to go when they have their next open day (when is that saddad?)

I didn't realise that there is another "Allotments4all" member on the site as well (Debp) We saw your plot and walked around it but you were busy chatting, had I realised you were a member on here I would have said hello!  ;D

I've put some pics on my blog ...... http://www.fork-in-hell.blogspot.com/

No you are not hallucinating, it's a thread with the same name in the shed!

Sorry I missed you GW, we should wear some sort of identifying badges of our avatars (though I keep playing with mine lately!), secret handshake or something!

I would certainly like to see the plots earlier in the growing season so I look forward to next year!

Glad you like the pics on the blog, you all deserve a glowing report for such a great site, I should also have said thank you to your wife for taking time to talk to us and show us your plots when we arrived, her enthusiasm was infectious!  ;D
