My wee urchins get static shocks when they play on the trampoline.  Mostly they don't mind, but once in a while is can be quite a crack.  I know often it is the clothes, but...ahem, they are sometimes in not much else than their cotton drawers!  Any ideas what this mum can do to ease their pain?  I mean....can you earth a trampoline????

When I was doing my basic trampolining exams ( aged late 20's -soooooo much fun!!!)  We were always made to wear socks.  Dunno if that was just for hygene, but I'm prone to static shocks & didn't have a problem

Would imagine high cotton content needed, but I'm guessing

Cheers
is it in the sale?

Run a slack wire from the jumping pad to the ground as any static stored will not be able to earth through the rubber bunjies. I remember seeing those little earth tails on cars as  the rubber tyres stop the car body earthing.

aha Ace, I was wondering if that could do the trick.  I shall mention it to the old man and see if he larfs at me.  ;D

Froglets, I used to do trampolining at school and we wore socks, I thought it was because those ancient tramps were a criss criss of elastic and there was the risk of getting your tootsies caught.  The kids one is a fine mesh.  I will suggest it though, see if it helps.
