He started off in blobalob, finished now, all ready for open day in Aug.  It's not the crows I'm worried about It's the visitors.  :o

I could do with one of those to scare the foxes off. It's great
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Deb P

That's fab! ;D

Dementor scarecrow....now there's a thought...... 8)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

WOW, isn't he great! Did you make all the mask and hand yourself?? And where is his scythe? He looks like he should be carrying a scythe!! I agree with carolinej, your plot looks great, do you have a blog or website? Love to see more pictures of it and know more. Where in the country are you?

My youngest son Matt made him, he modeled the hand from a plaster cast of his own.

The skull was made with PVA glue and toilet paper, started off on a balloon.  Have a look in 'Bloobalob little weed' it shows the skull in the making.

Matt painted Bill and Ben on the shed too, from the sublime to the ridiculous.

My plot is in Northampton.  We took it over in May this year it was in a terrible state.  The raised beds are nearly finished, I will post some pics when it's all done all done.

There's one more fun pic to come, a little Bill, or is it Ben, to display our plot number.

lorna

Wow, well done Matt, like others look forward to seeing more pics of your plot. So tidy and neat and far more interesting than the traditional lay out.

That is not a scarecrow - it's a scareperson!!  Wouldn't like to meet it on a dark night!
The Tuscan Beaneater

That is wicked! I wouldn't be allowed anything like that on my plot!!!!
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

lin

Brilliant scarecrow, does the face glow in the dark, now that would be cool!!
Lin

cazy

Not at the moment Lin but we're working on it, or something in the eye sockets would be good.  It can be seen over the fence from the road, might help to deter a few vandals then ;D

saddad

Def need luminous paint... and those cheap solar lights should be able to rig up real glowing eyes!

Of course, solar lights, saddad your a star.

I suggested luminous paint to the creator, 'that's no good mum, you can't get it in white, he has to be white'.   ::)

OMG that would make me jump!  My boring normal scarecrow used to catch me unawares when I turned around and thought someone was standing there!  I am not the least bit artistic, so very impressed!

cazy

Matt made him in the conservatory, he was facing into the lounge.  At night when I was downstairs on my own I used to cover his face.
