Having had enormous fun getting my plot in a vaguely cropable (is that a word?) condition from when I got it last Sept, and actually seeing results this season, I am having a serious planning session on the changes I want to make this year for next, and planning a proper 'programme' now I've had a bit of practice, and have learnt from lots of my mistakes (repeat after me...new pots DO NOT NEED a yard between each plant ....making your junk pile 100ft away from your plot gate IS NOT CLEVER!)  Could a very clever plotter volunteer to have a look at my excel sheet (in lots of pretty colours) and advise accordingly in case I'm planning something very stupid indeed! - if someone could pm me I'll pass on my e-mail addy if its not already on my profile.  Many thanks   Ceri

You're going to work to a PLAN? Bully for you!

I look at the space available & think OMG - this has got to be sown. Wish I could advise. = Tim

Ceri

I'm going to work to a plan Tim, yes, what the end result will be - who knows!  I think you have more space available than I have, so I'm trying to maximise my use of my skinny little plot (I have 100ft x 17ft and thats got to fit paths, shed, compost heaps, chickens etc!)

Your plot is bigger than my plot, Ceri

wow multiveg - I thought I had the smallest skinniest allotment going! Although an skinny shape, in area it is way bigger than my back garden (which is why I needed an allotment!)

Ceri - of course have a plan. I'm just not that well organised.

Funny, though - after many years of growing, I find that I think about doing something, look in the diary, & it's within 3 days of the 'usual' date. But that still doesn't answer the 'where to put it' question. Size? We're not much more than double yours. But, at my age, it sometimes feels like a football pitch! = Tim

PS You've looked at The Gardener's plan? Or Gavin's?

Ceri

I use Gavin's site a lot as it is so well done it seems to be written for me personally!  However, I need to actually see in pictorial form what I'm doing - an actual plan of my site rather than a written plan of what I'm going to do.  Pretty coloured site drawings are best for my brain!

I'll have a peek at The Gardener's site too.

Thanks Tim
