Don't be so harsh to yourself Tim - it looks like a giant from here...  beefsteak sized! You always love the first one the most... I bet it was a delight to eat.

:) looks great to me Tim, mine won't be ready for weeks,

put loads outside this year as Monty Don said' if you don't grow toms outside this year you never will'

and then the weather changed ::) ;D/ shades x
grow your own way

Tora

I bet it tasted beautiful though! :)

My tomatoes (all grown outdoors) are still far from harvesting. They have only just started flowering.  :D

My tomatos are just beginning to set, but very slow and small plants (apart from the ones on the patio)  :)

I am heading to the plot tonight and i know i have some ripening tomatoes up there, i might get lucky!!

fluffygrue

Anyone else noticing not many fruits setting on their toms?

Mine are covered in flowers, but not much fruit yet. (Both hanging basket and ones in the ground, so probably not related to watering/feeding.. might be bees or temperatures, I suppose.. :/)

cornykev

Sowed mine late so really not looking that tall at all.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Looks good Tim.

I've had 3 off my Sungold and I'm afraid to admit I scoffed them before I  had time to take a photo.  The first was a little tart but the other two were yummy.  I am now eyeing out the first greenhouse cucumber......

Will try and get a photo first though--- the first of many.

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning....

Nectar is always fairly early - tho' Santa usually comes before it.

Not eaten yet - have to decide how to share it!!

mc55

looks pretty gorgeous to me ... never mind pretty pathetic.  I would have scoffed in secret on the lottie and then wouldn't have the dilemma of how to share  ;D

lin

Boo hoo! Lots of healthy plants both on my plot and in my garden, and some (not many) flowers, but nowhere near getting a fruit Tim... you're lucky!

I think unless we get some sun soon, they will give up and refuse to fruit. And I just read a long term forecast that this summer is "likely to be disappointing"... I think we already know that, thank goodness April was good.

One tomato maybe, but my Chillies are nowhere near flowering.

shirlton

I have some green one but on the whole I am pretty dissapointed. After an amazing start they seemed to lose heart. Perhaps they will be better when we get some sun. won't we all. Well done Tim I think you should share it with all of us.lol
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
