Today has been one of the quietest Sundays I have had for years. Lorna & Josh gone to Spain, it is my Grandson's girlfriend's (Jodie) birthday in the week and I knew her parents had invited my son and d-i-law out for a meal. No visitors today. I started making a list for what I have to pack ready for my week in Devon starting Sat.  and spent some time on here. Son John just buzzed me.... would I like to go out for a meal on Wed?  Can a pig fly? Will be the same people including Jodie's Nan who I spend one evening a week with. Just right to get me in drinking, sorry I mean holiday mood. ;D

honeybee I promise to behave??
KP you were right as usual. John & Donna have just popped in for an hour, it does seem funny not seeing Josh, every other holiday they have been on since Charlie died I have been with them. I couldn't go with them this time as Alyson had already invited me to go to Devon with them.
Still pouring with rain here. No gardening to keep me amused :)

Lorna which part of Devon are you visiting?
Have you been here before?
Well, which ever area it is, I'm sure you'll have a great visit.

Elle Ess. We are going to Torquay but on the journey down Alyson is going to drop me off in Paignton as I am going to spend first couple of days with Charlie's nephew and partner. He is an artist and works in the graphics dept. of the Zoo. Then Alyson will pick me up and I will spend the rest of the week with Alyson her partner and three Grandchildren
I spent about 2 years during the war (evacuated) in a little village. Ugborough. One of my sisters and me were on a farm. I thing that must have been where I got my love of the countryside from.

Lorna I hope you have a great time.
I'm about 17 miles from Paignton, plus my husband works not far from the Zoo.
Have fun with your grandchildren. Weather isn't too bad either after the horrid weekend.
