Using animated Smilies in Blogger

anyone know of an easy way to do this ?

I think I've cracked it this morning but seems a hellova fiddly way to do it.

I'm saving the code for nice smilies i want to use in a Notepad document atm and have to copy and past the URL and accompanying code in the Blogger message box.

You'd think for a programme this popular, it would have it's own integral smilies ... wouldn't you ?  ???

Any help (in non-geek terms) would be most appreciated.
