My first 'proper' crop of strawberries from yesterday, from outside. They were too good for cream I'm afraid  ;D

Amazing - what sort are they?
Hope that they tasted as good as they look

They are a mixture of the French varieties 'Gariguette' and 'Gento' I believe, I'm in France. They normally start cropping in the last week of May here but they are very early with the weather even warmer than usual.

They were gorgeous. I only eat my own strawberries for 3 or 4 weeks of the year and it is something to really look forward too. I planted runners in my polytunnel last year and have gained an extra two weeks on the season  ;)

well, we sat in the poly, listening to the rain yesterday, on our fishing stools and each ate a delicious fresh from the plant strawberry..they were everything we'd hoped..sorry to make you drool  ;D :P

Smile, it confuses people.

I love the Gariguette strawberries, my favourite....I'm slowly building up my stock from runners, can't have too many! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
