Life on the river Lea is great but .... I still miss my lovely garden.. :-[

Yes I moved on a narrow boat in November 2005 - Could not carry on renting and paying the bills ....   ;)

Unfortunately, I obviously lost my garden but consider the banks of the river Lea to be mine ::) ;D

I am so very sorry to hear your mum died on 26th March.  My mum died on the same day, but 12 years ago.  It is very hard and I wish you well in your recovery. 

No, I did not know about Sarah, and I am afraid her name does not ring a bell at all.  What was her a4a name???

I am having a whale of a time on the boat and every day seems like a holiday, even when the weather is not nice.  I wish you all the very best.  See you soon!  :D :-*

Hi Marian and welcome!  :D I lived on a narrow boat for 10 years before moving to Spain! fantastic thing to do, I loved every minute, even running out of water iced in, and full bog!!!!!No garden, but I bet you've got lots of pots on the roof though!  ;)
