Listened to news about all hype on global warning, and specialists are getting payed loads money to rip us of,

there was a guy who said 1000years ago there was global problems, but like the ice age was decades in between.

but i ponder that todays generation has no concept of time a 1000 years ago, basicaly no one alive to compare from that time.

is it just scare mongering i ask.

cheers

Well may you ask!! Rather like slimming ads?

But forget 'warming' - are we polluting the atmosphere increasingly faster than we should be?

Do you have children?

Is there anything that we might do about it??

Some claim it's a natural course of events for the planet for it to warm and cool and that animals and the ocean are the biggest producers of co2, thats where all the doubt in the scientists talking about global warming comes in. We should always look carefully at who commissioned a certain survey or piece of research before decided if we  believe its findings are unbiased. Which they very rarely are!!
For me the main issue is overfishing, whaling, destruction of habitats and ecosystems. This will do far more damage to the planet in a much shorter space of time than I believe global warming will.

I'm sure the earth does go through these quite natural climate extremes. The thing that's different this time around is that we are speeding up the latest change, not giving the world time to correct it's self.
If you we continue to use the resources faster than nature can replace them, then the clock is ticking.

But, I have a belief that we have gone through all this before....possibly a million years or so ago. I reckon it's possible we were all wiped out by our own acts and that the world slowly revived to a state where life was possible all over again....Mmmm! I might write that up to go with the UFO thing that's underway.

Just spotted this on Jitterbugs profile thingy. Thought it was most apt here!! No Tim, I'd not seen that about cows!!

"A small explosion between the legs"

Still makes me giggle.

Only if your dogs got a very big mouth the pills are the size of a fist.
