Right, well I have some pictures as requested.
1. My garden before the makeover (Mayish last year)

2. My garden after the makeover (1 week ago) I had to save up 200 pounds initially, but as you can see it still isn't finished. I'm saving up slowly to get it finished. However, as all my money is being spent on hard landscaping, any seeds I can get free or at a bargain price are much appreciated - otherwise there would just be gravel in my garden this year!

3 & 4. My auricula my grandma gave me

5. My home collected gourd seeds - collected from a gourd bought last year. Hope to get some intresting harvest from these.

6, 7 & 8. Tomatoes sent to me by biscombe

9. My giant single sunflowers. They might not look bight, but watch out all, they will grow tall!

10 & 11. This is the patch where I shall be growing my giant pumpkin, along with several other gourds.

12. Melon seedlings - again from biscombe. Can't wait to harvest these!

13. My crown of thorn gourds - I'm really axcited about these as they look so...'weird!!'...I can't wait to harvest these!

Hope you didn't get bored - all feedback appreciated! :)

At the present, emmy, I would agree with you. However, as the before picture was taken in spring/summer, it will obviously be better. I think the new garde will look better some the warm weather. I can just picture the cannas going there, dahlias there, perhaps even a banana there! The auricula I am very pleased with. This is it's second stem full of flowers, and they are just as beautiful. There are still 2 more stems to come!
Yes, dad did help KP! (not with the money though!) The arch was from wilkos, and so yes we did have trouble putting it together, but nothing major. I'm not sure whats gonna go on the trellis yet - I've been thinking climbing nasturtiums as the blue (the colour of the trellis) and green would go well together. Any other suggestions?

Leonnie

You've done a lot of work there Pete, I'm looking forward to seeing photos in the summer but I'm sure it will look lovely. The garden always looks a bit drap and bare at this time of year, well mine does anyway ;D You've been very busy with your seed sowing as well, you're way ahead of me!

flossie

Morning glory might look nice on the trellis.
Really impressed Pete - you are much more organised than me.

Biscombe

Well done Mr Pete!!!  :) :) glad the seeds I sent you are germinating well! keep up the excellent work  ;D ;D

I never thought of morning glory actually...but there are so many varieties to chose from now! which colour/variety do you think would look best? I think the heavenly blue variety would go well with the trellis. Thanks for your support peeps!

Looking good Pete! As a canna, banana tropicals lover, am looking forward to seeing it in Autumn! ;D
How about a passionflower up your trellis? (Morrisons have them at £1.70) Will it get the sun? I think I may have a few seeds of Morning glory and passionflower if you you would like a few.
Exciting this new garden lark isn't it? ;D

waw doris - you sound just like me! My dad already has a passionflower, but it's almost dead! It will get some sun, but not all day. I'm just going to send you a pm...I can't wait to get everything growing!
