Didn't get to the allotment this weekend.  Ava and I went to Wales for the weekend on the bike, to join up with 50 other motorbikes, mostly Yamaha Thundercats, for a cruise around north Wales.  The weather was spectacular, the views exhilerating, and the bikes were stunning!  Started the day at Welshpool, then headed for Caenarvon Castle for lunch, with a stop enroute for a pee  ;D, then back to Welshpool in the afternoon via Horseshoe pass and Llangollen, which is where Ava and I first met  :-*.  Around 200 miles travelled that day, nearly 700 miles over the weekend!  It was amazing going through some of the smaller towns, 51 bikes, all together, stunning, and loud!  ;D

Lucky you E-J. I have had some really brilliant holidays in North Wales and would go back today if I could. We always stayed in Harlech but 'roamed' around the Snowdonia area. Have even flown in a Cessna airplane over the top of Snowden and down the Menai Strait.
Granny is still your best friend !

Looks like it was great fun EJ.

We spent the weekend on the bikes (push bikes- a little more sedate than the Yammies) the weather in Notts was fantastic.

We cycled along the Trent it was just beautifull.

And the decorating is nearly done so we are back in the lottie aswell, things are coming up rosy.

Here's to a great Bank holiday weekend coming up!!!!!!

All the hard work is finally starting to pay off.....

At least you have time to look at the scenery, EJ. Pity poor Ava!

What nerve you folk have - wouldn't go near one of those things! = Tim

Wicker

Haven't been on a motorbike for 40+ years - I'd probably just shut my eyes and hang on now - come to think of it that's what I did way back then, I was always a bit terrified but couldn't admit it (no helmets of course or leathers)!!

It's always great tho when you can both share something you really enjoy.
