Is it just me doing something right for once or do other peole get the same result? tell me more i hear you cry OK i will. I brew blackberry wine every year, about 4 gallon, if i leave it for a year ( hard to do sometimes  ;)) and open it when the mother plant is in flower the wine changes to sparkling wine ??? . Tastes great  ;D just like pop but very strong, it also gets you drunk from the feet upwards :-/ not bad till you try to walk  :o and fall flat on your face  ::) , quite embarasing when you have guests :-[ .

I'll try my best to leave a gallon of mine to see if the same happens .I've never had it happen before though. I made some RoseHip wine this time have you tried it?

Never lend books etc to anyone, unless there family and then just to the ones you know ;D . We have at the last count 5,000 books in the house (looks like a library) and still the wife wants more >:( :-/, will have to build an extension before long.

I have never had a go at making my own vino.  Is it really good?  You do hear stories about peoples concoctions (is that how you spell that word  ???)  Sparkling blackberry champers sounds divine.  I have only once gotten drunk from the feet up and that was on rough Turkish gin - not good, not good at all  ;)

Hi EJ, will send you some if it's not gone by then ;D :-[ . You must brew your own, the warm feeling you get from the feet upwards is really funny :D ;)  seeing people trying to walk and eventually crawling to the toilet ;D :D ;) is out of this world.

Pity you didn't collect some sloes and start off with some sloe gin EJ i'm nearly sure the recipe is on the site.Thats about the easiest and good to start you off.Try the car-boots for equipment if you do fancy starting.there is always some there cheap and you have to sterilise anyway.

Hiya BB, got the sloe gin brewing nicely in the larder.  Can I wait until the new year before sampling  ;D.

Jethro, I shall look forward to it!  ;D

This is me being thick again  ??? but why brew sloe gin when you have to put gin in  ??? seems like a waste of time, gin should be drunk in Shanghai on a warm summers evening on the beach with the sun going down  ;D, and after a few it will happen to you also, going down i mean.

Cough........ sloe gin is nectar from the Gods! On a cold winters night, a glass of sloe gin, or 2 or 3.........or 10! Lovely stuff, can't beat it. ;D

On a recent trip home to Devon I sampled last years sloe gin and last years sloe vodka!  Both made in the same way really, but WOW did the Voddy have a kick!  Both were divine, come on New Years day, my hairy dog will be a big glug of the stuff!   ;D
