cj - thanks for the update, glad it was a hit! ;D

Rosyred - interest noted ;)  If there are enough peeps interested I'm happy to organise another one once these two have done the rounds, but I'm guessing that might not be for a couple of months yet.

I got the parcel this morning,

Only did a couple of swaps, but I have put it back in the post this afternoon.

Will be winging its way to Leeds.

I put a few packs of ten seeds so each person can try one,
and a coupld of bags with enough for 2 helpings.

Thanks everyone

I am the lucky recipient in Leeds.

Postman brought me a lovely suprise, just what I needed after so much personal stress past few days, parcel 2 from pass the parcel.

Very excited, had a quick look through but will take my pick tomorrow then send it on its way, reckon its gonna be chillis, a couple of beans and peas and some curly kale.

Then the gardening fairies will be transporting it down Essex way,

Remember there are TWO parcels going around, so even if one parcel isn't headed your way, the other one might be.... :)

potterfanpete - the "pass the parcel" is a parcel of surplus seeds that is being sent around a group of players - like the game "pass the parcel".  The difference being not only do you open it and take out what you like before you pass it on to the next person (by the royal mail) but you also add some of your surplus seeds in exchange.

this was the original thread that got it going:

http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,26/topic,25478.0

At the end it comes back to me.... and then, if there are enough people interested (3 so far without really asking!) we could do it all again :D

Well that all depends on how big the parcel is! ;)

I think when I originally posted it off it was just under £1.50?  I took part in a simillar swap on another forum and IIRC that one was a bit more, but still just under £2.  Of course it all depends on how generous people are as it goes around (ie how big it gets).

Its only supposed to be a bit of fun, and a great way to pass on seeds you know you won't grow rather than wait and throw them out in a few years time....

And it all depends if you like surprises and are up for a bit of a gamble :D

Blue Bird

Hi creckless it should be West not South   Wirral is to the West........... ;D ;D
