Might sound horrible but parsnip, apple and lime. Its the best juice I've ever had.

Juice 2 parsnips and three apples then squeeze half a lime into it. Superb!

Also carrot, apple, spinach and ginger. Wondrous when hungover.

Really!  I suppose parsnips are only like bigger, stronger, sweeter carrots.  We have a sackful of black grapes in our freeezer, and the old boy has just this second brought them in.  I am planning to juice the lot then make some smoothies using the juice.  YUMYUM!

I think juicers are great for getting rid of too much veg or if its getting a bit long in the tooth or if your going away and wont use it. I just make a massive juice and compost the stuff thats left.

Two great juice/smoothie books are 'Thirst' by Nigel Slater and 'The big book of juices and smoothies' by Natalie Savona.

What make is your juicer sawfish?  I think I might have blown ours up today juicing grapes, but it has been through the mill suffering some serious use, and it was only a cheap one.  I would like one which really does get all of the juice from the pulp, but I can't afford Jack Lallanes juicer.

well erm.... mines a Jack Lalanne and I love it because it has a massive shute to chuck whole apples down. I think there are others that might get more juice out but its darn good and I'm happy with it. I got it for £90 off ebay

Mrs Ava

90 squids.  I am heading to ebay right now!
