I know about marigolds but not the plants they need to go with but what other flowers can be used and with what ??? ??? ???

Loads of things don't like each other, and loads of things love each other.

There are lots of websites with info - I have a couple of books also.  I grow sweetpeas with beans and peas to encourage more buzzy things.  Onions with carrots to prevent carrot root fly....

I was persuaded to grow Summer Savory last year (thank you cleo :-*) This shrubby little herb repels Bean Beetle on the plot, and flavours the bean pot too :) A perfect little companion! Lots of websites, lists and references to companion planting on the Web, but Summer Savory is rather special IMO :)

Tip: when you sow the veg, sow annual companions at the same time. I plant them at the end of veg beds

Ti's a herb. I believe it is an annual as apposed to Winter savory
