Bottling beans?

Bloomin bean beetles bored into the borlotti basket :o >:(

Lucky we spotted the first ones so only a dozen or so of the dried beans had holes :) they're soaking now and will be bottled tomorrow (Plan B)

Instructions in 'Preserving and Canning for Dummies' are boil for 30 mins, hot fill, 10lb pressure for 1 h 15 mins. But I don't want the beans to turn to mush. Has anyone tried bottling borlotti beans, and do you know if they'll be OK under pressure for all that time?

Plan C is freezing ;)

have just got mine dried in a jar, is this wrong, do they need air or something, first year grown them ?

not at all manic, the jar should keep the boring beetle out
I just hadn't got around to it :-[ :)

yield is two to three pints per square metre (mostly bush borlotti)
next time I'll shorten the initial cooking time - after soaking, the initial boiling released scum, so I'll boil and skim, then bottle - don't think they need half an hour, just enough to take care of cooking reactions ::)
