Well I'm not laughing, Lorna, I think you've done really well for a first attempt.   ;D  I've never grown squash/pumpkins myself but I'm sure the conditions this year couldn't have helped.

they look gorgeous lorna, you going to let grandchildren at 'em for All Hallows?
if you calculate the lb of punkin per sq ft of growing space bet you've got a lot to be proud of ;) ::)

Hey Lorna, diden`t  ;D you do well.

lorna

Well I did find it fun. SS they  didn't take up much space as I made a frame and grew them up the frame. Neighbour couldn't believe that the big one didn't come crashing down :)
Joshua was impressed.

they look fine to me! i've only managed to get one off each plant....so i got 2 of them. mine still aren't ripe....but i cut them off a few weeks ago when they just started to turn. i was worried about the frost and the powdery mildew that had taken over the plant.

they're nice and tough and clean looking and turning orange pretty quickly now.

angle shades

they look great to me Lorna :)

I've got one ghost pumpkin on one plant ::)

One Atlantic giant on one plant ::)

and lots of Munchkins on one plant ;D/shades x

Robert_Brenchley

You got more pumpkins than I did. I'm blaming the drought.

lorna

Oh well as it was my first year doesn't look so disastrous ;D ;D

robkb

I'm not laughing - you got 5 more than I did! :( All my plants died, and I'm not sure why... must try harder next year.

Cheers,
Rob ;)

You did well, Lorna!

I got one off each plant I didn't manage to kill (5 in total) my butternuts all failed and everything went in late after being started off too early.

Good growing on your part, you should feel proud!  :)

lorna

;D After all the nice comments I am feeling quite chuffed!!!!

Hyacinth

...and so you should, gal 8) Now...what are you going to do with them?

Not one pumpkin here, although some of the other stuff grew well.
