Once again my sincere thanks to every one for your posts, emails and PM's. I have just spoken to my sister but of course it is difficult to know what to say. We are just all so thankful that  that Patsy did not suffer too long. I have passed on all your wishes to her.

That's a beautiful thing to say calendula.
Smile, it confuses people.

Make the most of today, because you'll never have it back again.

calendula. So very true. Since I lost my husband so suddenly in 2003 truthfully every morning I wake I count as a bonus which enables me to see my children  and grandchildren.. I have been on line quite a lot today and have been trying to join back in to the posts. It helps
I heard a little while ago that the funeral will be on 5th October, when I told my son he said he remembers just the one week we had to wait for his Dad's funeral he spent the week in limbo..Have had several  telephone conversations with family members today. I just wish I wasn't 100 miles away, but the A4A crowd (said in the nicest way) have been such a help.

It is a very distressing time Lorna.  We waited over a week for my Mam's funeral to happen and it seemed like ages, you just want to get it over with, so you can lay them to rest! You are right, every day is a precious one and times like these highlight that fact. Lots of Love, busy_lizzie

Lorna, such sad news - I'm very rarely lost for words, but at times of loss I find it difficult to say anything which can express my deepest sympathies.
Just remember that all your A4A friends are thinking about you at this time

(PS think that Pauline is away at the moment, but know that she would send her best wishes if she could)

Thanks Kathi. As mentioned before A4A friends have been a real comfort to me. I was going to ask you about Pauline as I hadn't seen any posts from her., but with all that has gone on it went out of my mind. Relieved to know she isn't ill otherwise you would have heard.

Hello Lorna

I have just got back from France, where we have been since 30th August.  Having just returned today and logged on to the Allotments site, I am so sorry to have read your bad news.  My thoughts are with you and the rest of the family Lorna.  I wish you strength to get through the difficult days ahead.  My sincere condolences to you all.  Love, Pauline x

tabbycat and Pauline. Thank you so much. I must tell you all that  as I am 100miles away from all my family (except for one brother 10 miles away)  the posts, emails and PM's that I have received from A4A members  have been a great comfor to me.
Hope you had a great holiday Pauline. Will catch up with news from you later.

Dear Lorna,

Got back last night from a wonderful holiday. Very, very sad to hear the news about your niece. Will be thinking of you over the coming days, especially up to the funeral. It is so hard, but after a time the  happy memories will rise to be uppermost in your mind.

Look after yourself,

Love CLx
