Mrs Ava

According to the seed I purchased last week - good until the end of July.  I will be trying some in a shady spot at the start of August.

I am going to start some more as the ones I have in trays have suffered and aphid attack and are looking a little sad at the mo.

Lets hope the next lot will take and I have at least one. I read on here and saw a pic that people are eating & storing already.

I have a couple of drills full of them, should I prick them out to thin?  or will they just shuffle along? ??? ;D

saddad

I would thin them, not sure they would transplant well in this heat, beware the demon flea beatle!
;D

RSJK

Thin them to about 10" apart Roy,,

Thanks Guys, I will thin them out later, what does this demon flea beetle look like and how do I deal with it ???

Rosyred

Don't know what it looks like. I would either cover with fleece or micromesh (not that I have micromesh yet) or spray with soapy water or derris (depending if your organic or not). I had to use derris on my cabbages and it worked well.
