Noticed a bird tucked behind my seed feeder today - the bit I could see from the lounge looked a lot bigger than a greenfinch but much lighter in colour than a starling or blackbird.  Went round to kitchen to get a better view.  Thought - I'm seeing things.  Went upstairs to get binoculars, then back to kitchen for a closer look.  It was a thrush! - never seen one on birdfeeder before; in fact, I had thought they only ate insects, but this one was clearly tucking into sunflower seeds.  It hopped about the prunus a bit, stretched its wings, & came back to the feeder several times & I got a really good view (& no, it definitely wasn't a female/juvenile blackbird!).  I was so surprised I've  just been looking through surfbirds to see if I could find any other bird it could have been - other than a thrush the closest thing is a tree pipet, but that's much too small - must have been a thrush!  Anyone else seen one on a hanging feeder?
