a bit blew off in the high winds.  :o  at the moment i've got it stuck in a glass of water.

any helpful hints about how i can get it to grow ?

i've read that if you pin it to the soil and cut some scores in it, it will root, but if connected to the mother plant.

would i be wasting my time trying to do it unattached ?  should i bonemeal the soil ?

thanks muchly as always.

;D

It might root in this manner and as you mention layering is another method. You could also treat it as a stem cutting.

There is a bit more info here;
