just heard frost was forecast for the north-west tonight.  weather sites say it will feel like -1 so in the pouring rain i've just run out and covered everything up that i could.  ran out of fleece so spare weed supressant roll came into play.

am now looking at a lone pot of petunias that i missed !!!!   :o

but i'm not going out there again ...... it's bitter !

gonna be -2 feeling like -4 at 3am tomorrow morning !!!  so everything is wrapped up again.  seems like those predictions of a couple of weeks ago are coming true.

no frost last night though so hope we'll get away with it.

i'm taking my chances, metcheck says 20% chance of frost but its pouring and windy so i can't see that actually happening, just nosed at the allotments and none of the sweetcorn is covered so i hope its ok.
