Hi Everyone

Since its cold and rainy today, decided to have a go at creating a blog to keep a track of progress at the allotment.

I have included some piccies, including one of the shed (wendy house for grown-ups) but also brilliant for kids.  No 2 spent the WHOLE day at the plot yesterday, happily playing in and around the shed - WOW!!  there is one picture that shows the shed at a wonky angle - it isn't...honest ;)

Let me know what you think - not up to the standard of some your blogs I know, but at start at least - www.theprobetsplot.blog.co.uk

Wow...impressed!! You have worked so hard on that plot!!

No idea how to do the blog thing, so am in awe of your talents, both plotwise and blogwise!!

Well done you!

;D

Definitely envious.  I keep meaning just to write a little in a diary every day but haven't even got round to that, so to have done all that work on the lottie and the blog done is some achievement.  Well done you.

Wish I had a mate to bounce ideas off too (and share the digging) lol.  I think everyone close to me is tolerant of my latest hobby and will be grateful if anything gets put on the table, but it's just me on me own out the back lol.  I think that's why I spend so much time on A4A  ;D

Maybe now upstairs has been sold, they'll be growers too and we can swap things over the fence (when it's built).  Fingers crossed.

Thanks all for your kind comments.

This blog thingy is seriously easy to do.  The layout is all pre-formated, so it's a bit like doing a powerpoint presentation.  If I can do it, anyone can. ;D  Have a go.

As it is another cold and rainy day, I thought I would share a few progress shots with you.  I have tried to take the shots from the same places - it's just amazing how much everything has grown in just a month.  sorry some of the pics are huge :o  I have tried several times to resize them - promise to do better next time  ;)

This is how it was 5 weeks ago

and last week

Turbo lettuces :o

have had two harvests from the thinnings - but before the birds realised they were there - grrr

This is where the sweetcorn and beans are going

and after the digging party...but standing in front of the shed

and finally...carrots sown in late March

and if it wasn't pouring with rain, I would be busy weeding the strawberries and carrot beds.......

Lovely looking blog, well done :D And I'm really envious of your carrots, mine are very sparse by comparison :)

fantastic stuff.  doesn't it just warm yer heart to see all that green ?

started off nice up here today, but got rather bitter towards the end which is why i'm in early.

forgot to close the shed door though so am just back off out to cut some lettuce leaves for tea.

i like this growing malarky.   ;D
