Please take it to the R S P C A. as soon as possible, or call them out , is it a baby or adult?.  If possible try a little cat or dog food, puppy food of course.

Carol

DO NOT GIVE IT MILK!!!!   Hedgehogs cannot digest it and could kill it.  As advised by Rosebud try and find the nearest RSPCA.  Cat/Dog food and water can be given to them.

Ok, taken the milk away. RSPCA office is closed until tommorrow morning, so should I bring him/her indoors for the night? If so is a box and a towel going to be a good bed?

Carol

Yes, think that will be ok.  If you have any cat/dog food you could try and tempt him/her with that to keep its strength up and water.  Poor little mite, hope the RSPCA can fix him/her tomorrow.  Good luck!!

Do you have a drip feeder ( the sort on tincture bottles) to try to get some fluids down. Is it very small, will mum be looking for it? :(

slowfood

Thanks all. It's not tiny, about 14cm long, but doesn't look too happy, still breathing though. May have some sort of drip feeder and will give it a go. I don't really want to move it that much if the legs (back?) may be broken.

Any news on the Hedgehog? i do hope it survived.
