My local 'everything for a quid' shop has plastic barbecue covers that can double up as mini green houses, with the addition of a few well placed canes.  Not bad for something that would set you back 15 poonds in a gardening centre

Definitely a Top Tip - amazing what a bit of lateral thinking can do!  Where's that quid I found down the sofa.....
