Could be an escaped pet; I've heard of enormous ones, though I don't know whether they're a specific variety or what.

Hi all,

It could be a muntjac deer. They`ll lower their heads when scared but their long back legs make them stick up in an odd way. If people only get a fleeting glimpse they might be fooled.

Or .. it could be an Himalayan Giant or other pet rabbit. We had some big rabbits when I was a child, some black and white but also huge grays.

Felton's about 20 minutes up the road from us.

Some of those pet rabbits can be big beggars, I suppose.  My sister has two rabbits which have taken abode under the shed in her garden, which are obviously escaped pet ones - been there for a good few years now.

I did wonder how those lottie holders were managing to have leeks and carrots so far on that the rabbit was able to take big chunks out of them though.  :)

The leeks could have been the last of the crop, but I dunno about carrots. I had most of my parsnips taken out by a rabbit one year. I hadn't thought of muntjac; it's quite possible.
