Gorgeous day here too.  AND I HAVE A DAY OFF  Yipppppppppeeeeeeeee.  Can at long last get some compost moved and second bin turned into empty one.  May even dig out the lawn mower if I have any strength left.  May be an idea to have a shower and get dressed first, instead of dossing around on the puter  ;D  Don't want to frighten the cattle in the field next door.

We've had an April day too.  Brilliant sunshine this morning, but very cold.  Hail and snow also.  Currently cloudy sun.  And it's only 12.45.

Bad news - there was a large, but biiiiig rat on the top lawn early this morning.. :o

Good news - it was dead ;D

Going out in a mo to plant some more potatoes and sow some seeds.

Hope that a sparrowhawk has taken the corpse away :)

Just come in form the gardens (F+B), have been out there for about 2 and a half hours, sun was shining, birds were singing, everyone outside- simply great! Spring has definately sprung! I've mowed the lawn for the first time since September '05 and am feeling a tad tired now after weeding both gardens, mowing and then cutting the edges by hand with sheers! Im now going to sit down and relax with a large bar of chocolate, have a good day everyone! R2D2  ;D

Frosty start in Essex, but the sun soon warmed things up.  Was working in another garden today which was lovely.  Dug a new bed and planted some plants, did plenty of weeding....ground elder  >:(.  Then home again to quickly peg the washing in as it was hailing!  Big black clouds and a bitter wind for about an hour, and now, looking out of the window, blue sky dotted with white clouds.  Off to talk to my tomato plants!  ;D

Been out playing in the borders all day ;D  Have weeded,composted,and generally tweaked.  Been up to the tip with ex Christmas tree, ex garden swing and load of rubbish. Mowed the lawns and generally had a big tidy.  Just had a heavenly soak in the bath, face looks like a smacked ar*e and I feel wonderfull (if a bit achey)   Wont be able to move tomorrow :-\  Better get the volterol and the tiger balm out ready.  ;)

Yesterday afternoon I sowed and potted on loads and loads, and am hoping to get the sweetcorn, okra and the last of the squashes done today.

My darling is out tinkering with the motorbike...new spark plugs, gaskets, stuff...  ???, the kids are still in their PJ's sitting in the dining room painting (oh the mess!), and I am sitting here with a green clay face pack on, about to get into the shower - sexy huh!  ;D
