I've grown Marketmore successfully outside. Any ridge cucumber ought to work; I'm trying Wautoma from the Real Seed Catalogue this year.

I had three plants last year - and we could not give away bags fast enough! With what those three plants produced we could have kept the local Somerfields stocked!

I grew Marketmore and Burpless tasty green outdoors for the first time last year & I'm repeating (geddit ::)) them this. I start the seeds off indoors in large yoghurt pots. If necessary I'll pot them on into bigger pots if there's still a danger of frosts before finally planting them out.
