Any chance of a photo, or are we not talking faces here ...  ;)
The impossible is just a journey away ...

Heldi

You'll have to wait for the swimming costume section to see it  :P  :D

The progress so far .

The pumpkin with the kids is longer then it is round .The circumference around the largest way is 81"  or 64" across the middle.

Leonnie

Are those all your pumpkins!? :o wow, they look fantastic, I only have one big pumpkin and it looks like a baby by comparison ;D

Simon05

fantastic pumpkins, I thought mine was big,  measured today 64 inch girth

TheGrowingFamily

WOW  :o Travman.

My jack o lantern look like babies compared to them.

Just out of interest what type are you growing?
Might have a go at them next year!

TGF  :D

mc55

flippin 'eck - they're fantastic, well done

busy_lizzie

My biggest pumpkin last  week, though it has grown a bit more since then. I know I have no chance when I look at others particularly Travman, but it is a bit of fun and they are so great to grow! :D busy_lizzie

Mrs Ava

I am really impressed.  Was wondering, would I be able to use my grey/blue pumpkins (whose name escapes me) as I don't have any traditional ones to enter the comps??

Leonnie

Any pumpkin can be entered EJ :) Those pictures are all very impressive, much better than my attempt :)

Curryandchips

Ditto here, mine are tiny, not even worth posting actually ...

Leonnie

But you could post a photo of them in the pumpkin gallery, the non-competition thread. :)

Curryandchips

I will need to check the macro facility on my camera then ...  ;D

 ;D ;D ;D they can't be that small surely!

lorna

Leonnie. My first efforts of growing pumpkins are pathetic but it has been fun, I have got squashes bigger than the TWO pumpkins. As soon as John downloads my pics for me I will post them just for a laugh. Will get better seeds next year ;D
Lorna.

Leonnie

hehe, I keep telling myself the next year will be better and bigger...but they only seem to get smaller each year ::) ;D

Grandma

Nearly a month since anyone said anything! Am I the first to admit defeat?
My ugly pumpkin was cut and weighed yesterday. 62 lb.  (8lb less than last  year.) I blame the drought/hose pipe ban. But it's gone away to make a pretty good Hallowe'en lantern. Does anyone else have anything to say?

saddad

OH went down and cut ours Monday and put them in the Poly, she almost couldn't move the largest but I doubt it is that heavy Grandma...
;D

Doris_Pinks

Between fixing up the "old" new to us house, I raced to the plot and harvested my squashes, well chuffed with the results, maybe I should just let them get on with it by themselves every year! ;D

My one and only Pumpkin won't be a record breaker,( It had a brush with the councilmans strimmer early on in it's life  >:( ) but nearly broke my back getting it in the car (never a bloke on the site when you need one! ;) ) and is still there on the backseat, taking trips around the town, I haven't got the energy to hoick it out yet! ;D Thinking maybe it should be wearing a seatbelt incase of a sudden stop! ;D ;D
Will try and take piccies when I can find a space that isn't covered in tools, wallpaper paste, paint etc!  DP
