They look good to me. I have one pumpkin which looks OK (blackbird in kitchen ruined the first one ;D) Going to sow some more this week and squashes. All new to me but anything for a laugh!!!!

Curryandchips

Excellent picture and it has left me feeling dejected, since my seeds have not germinated (yet). I think I will still be at the starting post when the race is finished  :D
The impossible is just a journey away ...

grawrc

Well Curry you're doing better then me. mine are still in the packet. :-[

Travman

Out of curiosity

What are you those you are using as stakes in the photo???

TheGrowingFamily

Can you tell I have children, erm Pencils and felt tip pens.   :-[

My children planted them, they planted two seed each ( 6 pumpkin plants),
straight from the packet and into some compost.
We're going to have a lot of pumpkins  :D

:D TGF  :D

First year at growing anything so didnt know you had to germinate seeds before planting,
well its a learning curve! :D

busy_lizzie

Debs

You're on BL  ;D

Will be doing as someone else mentioned and planting outside the sweetcorn then
trailing stems inwards - that is, presuming the sweetcorn grow!!

Doris_Pinks

Today I mostly planted, 2 X Atlantic Giant,  2 X Shop seeds left over from last years halloween pumpkin, and far too many other squash, which is becoming a bit of an obssesion! :-[ :-\ ;D
The Pumpkins will, after the frosts, go into a nice hole filled with manure, the squashes will go into manured trenches to grow up frames, if I can find space on my plot!! ;D
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

Not got mine sown yet, hoping to do so next week, got to decide where I am going to grow it so I can put a nice bit of manure in the ground, and to mix some liquid feed up ready to feed it.  I am hoping to break the 100 lb this season if all goes well.
                        ;) ;)
Richard       If it's not worth having I will have it

derbex

Well, I sowed some of Doris's Giant Pumpkins (saved from last year -did very well -almost ruptured myself getting it home) last week. Not up yet although misc. other squash are..

Tora

I've just found this topic!  :D
I'm going to try growing some squashes/pumpkins too.
Haven't sown any though, hoping to do it later this month. :)
