Dan, I fort you knew me  better than that. Lottie's point was that you are making the whole class stay in coz of the bad behaviour of a few.  I agred wiv her but I gave you the benefit of the doubt.  We all know who's been causing disharmony here tonite and my jibe was aimed at that poster.

I do feel like a school teacher trying to maintain reasonable behaviour amongst adults.

As I have said I shall review my decision in a few days, and if I think it is appropriate I will enable PM's and chat again.

Some people seem to have joined the site to cause problems, and I am not interested in being a police man.

Dan, again, as a frequent user of the chat and PM facility it seems a shame to get rid of it. 

Both are a way of communicatiing between people on the boards who form friendships.  i think the PM especially will see the board lose members and also see lots of threads giving out email addresses so those friends can still keep in touch.  maybe do more harm than good in the end me thinks?

i agree about disabling the facilities though for unruly members.

Erm...so couldn't you just remove privelages of those you think maybe, til you've had a chance to look?

I totally understand that, dan.  But it's a shame that all posters have to suffer the loss of priviledges due to the thoughtlessness of the few. :(

It is a Shame, I have not been on since Christmas eve, and when I came back the chat and pm  facility has been disabled.

Dan do you have any idea how long we will have to may have to wait before we can chat and pm each other again, or even better ban the trouble makers from A4A !!!!!!!!
