Hello. Help appreciated. When i open something off my desktop it closes any windows that i opened. say i have a4a open then go to desktop to open something else it closes a4a. HOpe that makes sense.

I don't know if I am really in a position to give advice northerner, as I am a bit of a computer novice myself, but when I want to keep a programme open I usually minimise it before opening up something else, then I can simply click on the link from the bar at the bottom of my screen and hey presto, back it comes.  Hope this helps you.   :)

Yeah thats what i've always done gg. Little lad was playing on computer at weekend i think its related. It only happens on certain programmes. Weird these computers.

(You have to minimize 'a4a' to access your desk-top anyway.)
Don't know what desk-top prog you are opening but try this; open 2 or 3 different internet sites, minimize all of them and then try opening something like MS Word from a desk icon. See which sites close down.
