for the last two days we've been inundated

with more baby birds - sparrows, starlings and some blue tit juveniles !

the sparrows are in the fat ball globe now with the parents feeding them.

I thought the breeding season would have been all over and done with by now.

Hi Mrs KP. I have got loads of sparrows and starlings visiting, lots of youngsters/ I am sorry to say I haven't seen my blackbirds or green finches for a few days. I want to make sure they have all finished nesting because I can then have those conifers removed!!!! (yahoo more garden)

you be careful cutting them trees down, don't want you slipping a disk.

Mrs KP. The plan is that I am going to remove as much of the greenery that I can then a friend will come with his chain saw. TIMBER!!. They are  a good 10ft high and the length of my back garden so it will be a real long Autumn job. The few across the rear of the garden will be left as they are at the back of the greenhouse and sun room, these are along the edge of my neighbours drive and her son-in-law keeps them low and very neat (bless him). My son-in-law used to cut the others but hasn't done so for about 3 years and I find they are a bit too much for me (in my old age!!)
I will be careful, lots of things to look forward to later in the year.
