At last!  As if fell I swear I could hear the ground sizzling!
I spent all morning digging and weeding the wonderful plot, and went to the bother of watering my tiny wee leeks, and as I wandered off, black clouds were gathering over head.  I smiled as I glanced back over my shoulder, things have really improved since we took the lottie on nearly 3 weeks ago, and I hoped the rain would just hold off 'til I pegged my washing in, and it did, and when it came, boy did it fall hard and fast!  Can't wait to get back to the plot to see how it looks after rain.  I am hoping it will have helped break down a few lumps and settle the dust...of course, the weeds will now all grow like the clappers........

Oh what a lovely day started with two power cuts this morning then the rain come. Thought the birds were extra busy this morning they knew something was going to happen.
It rained steady all day and this evening the grass out the back is sooooo green and the plants looked so good I will check the lottie tomorrow the beans will love it so more beans to eat ha ha

Didn't it bucket down!?  So fast that we nearly had a flash flood in the back garden.....  It thwarted my plans to drag my other half up the lottie to do manly things like put my compost bin together, so I'll have to nag him again tomorrow!  Now that we've had a bit of rain, perhaps I can finish digging the strawberry patch on No 1 plot...that's an exciting thought in itself - the soil there has been like concrete for weeks!

As you say, the weeds will take their ugly revenge, but perhaps my green manure will grow too!

....I have an idea - don't go to work - go up the lottie instead!  (...and just how tempting is that!  ;))

Yo sister!  I've bin suggesting that it was time I was a kept women for ages.  This would allow me to persue the finer things in life, (like art, art deco china, pressed glass, mosaics, stained glass and, perhaps the odd spot of gardening!) ..... however, I too still dutifully turn up at the workplace dreamin' of being somewhere else!
