Too true RC.  My lotty wasps nest is safe with me.  Folks tell me to get rid of it but I don't want to.  The wasps will clear out soon and I'll have my lotty back again.  The activity has got busier over the summer and last weekend the plot was full of wasps which was a bit unnerving.  I kept the dog away just in case he went rooting.  I have given them a wide berth but they are nesting near my compost bins and we were trying to get stuff put into them but had to retreat as there were so many wasps about.

They were very busy yesterday too but there didn't seem to be so many out in the open so was able to get my onions in

Hi redclanger, Hi Wardy,   thanks for your postings.   OK, I'll give the wasps a reprieve for now.   But just one sting, and they have had it.   I shall respect their presence, and give them some distance, and I shall trust them just so far, but....
Every best wish, Colin.
