How do I add an attachment to a PM

Do you mean a picture or a link to another site?
A picture has to be  either stored somewhere like Photobucket or if you have paid Dan on here. Then you click on the little picture just above the n in 'Change Colour' Up will come the img in brackets, insert the URL of your picture between them
If a Link to another site then it is the symbol above the C in Colour.

I've been asked to forward the list in the topic 'next years crops' in excel or word format in a PM, hence the need for an attachment thingy

Where did you create the list, was it on here or in a word processing program first?

Do the same in the PM as you did to get it on screen in the Posting. Ipresume you Copied and pasted?

Get the other party to PM their e-mail address then do it through Outlook.

No I did a screen capture in paint shop pro and posted it as a photo.  I asked for their e-mail address but so far no answer.  Could be they are unsure.   It's a weird world.

Eric, can you upload pictures into a pm directly from your own machine, if you have pics status, because I cannot do it. There is no upload facility in the personal message page ...
