Hi folks.

Part of my plot is very weedy, with couch, docks, bindweed and dandilions. I would like to get it killed off so I can rotavate it. Is there still time to Glyphosate? Or am I a little late?

Thanks :)

Someone said yesterday it was not the right time for it as the plants aren't taking it up or some such thing. Have a look for a more techy explanation on yesterdays posts  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Its a bit on the late side. The plants have to be actively growing for it to work. however I helped do a friends plot three weeks ago, and that has worked a treat, so it might be worth a try.  :)
Make the most of today, because you'll never have it back again.

A while ago I would have thought it was getting a bit late (tho' I'm always one to try & if there's a bit of green leaf, well....), but what I was going on to say was that I believe the recommendation is that the most effective time to spray Japanese Knotweed is as it is beginning to die back so perhaps that principle might apply to other weeds too!

Done mine last weekend and its beginning to go yellow now

I've still been using it to good effect here in Birmingham - weeds still growing, glyphosate still doing its stuff, even where I didn't intend it to ::).......got 2 clumps of japanese anemones I wanted to save which are definitely looking a bit sick (glypho. must have run off the weed-infested path I was treating last week into the border on a lower level).

Hope that I can use it through this month - I'm certainly going to give it a go. - Lishka
