Try this, it's delicious, something I dreamed up as brunch, my missus thinks it's disgusting and won't go near it, but like they say 'don't judge a book' etc;etc;

Simple ingredients...

1.  One small tin mackrel in sunflower oil.

2.  One courgette (although was closer related to marrow).

3.  Two rounds granary bread.

4.  Mixed herbs.

Slice courgettes into a pan and fry in some of the sunflower oil, drain off the remaining oil from tin, sprinkle mixed herbs over the courgettes turning occasionally.

Put mackrel in with the courgettes when they are almost ready and put on a low heat whilst toasting the granary bread. :)

Serve and enjoy MM! yummy. ;)

Any takers? ;D

PREMTAL

Hi Roy,
excellent recipe although I will substitute with peppered Mackrel. ;)

I think it would also work well with breaded Herring.

;D Tee hee  ;D At least your honest, 4 to1 not a bad result tho ;) The dish could quite easily have fed two and may have looked better in half that quantity, but I could not let it go to waste ;D

BAGGY

Messy looking food always tastes the best.  Take for example the humble bubble and squeek sandwich.  Not a beauty by anyone's standards, but with a splodge of chilli sauce it is a variatible feast.  (oh sod it - and you all thought I was so refined  :o)

Fish finger sandwich anyone?
I came, I saw, I composted

BAGGY

Yum.  With tomato sauce and a slice of processed cheese.  I know we all eat these fresh good for you veggies, but sometimes only junk will suffice.

As you say, when only junk will do (even then it is mainly homegrown though)

Humble bubble and squeak sandwich, with a fried egg in there for added mess factor!

Bliss ;D ;D ;D
