I should know better, having grown courgettes for 5 years now. I planted 8 plants - Jemmer- only thinking 6 would survive because of frost damage. They are all going great guns, and having missed a picking for one day yesterday, this was waiting for me . . . (shown on a standard 10 inch dinner plate)

Derek, well done you!  They are fantastic.  :D  We got virtually nothing from our courgette plants last year but this year we are going great guns too.  You never can tell from one year to the next how things will do. They are beauties! busy_lizzie
live your days not count your years

for us GOLD RUSH is not rushing.
But lebanese cousa white bush courgettes and nice de rond are amazing.

Moggle

Nothing from my one Jemmer plant so far  :'( Oh well, there's always next year  ;D
Great looking harvest Derek!
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

Derekthefox

wow you have sharp eyes supersprout! Not a habanera, but another south american piece, which I hope to learn after I return from my holidays . . .

I am just going to start posting these pieces of music . . .

Mothy

Derek....beauties mate.....much better than mine!!

Where do you post your music???

Derekthefox

I have to email it out Mothy. If you drop me your email addy via pm, then I should be able to get some to you, I have an hours worth of material, not good audio quality, because my computer sound card is pretty basic. All mp3 format.

Piglottie

Derek - you lucky thing to have so many courgettes!  My plants have now sadly given up the ghost and are now no more than shrivelled disasters!  Oh well, there's always next year....

I have to agree.  Was given some gold rush and definately more gold slow!  Mind you with all the standard green ones I have planned to grow them next year as they are nice and steady!
Neil (The Young Ones) once said "You plant the seed, the seed grows, you harvest the seed....You plant the seed....."   if only it was that simple!!!

Derekthefox

Brought the technicians at work another present this morning, another 16 Courgettes ha ha ha. That is 25 courgettes over 3 days ! I wondered why I seem to be running short on friends ha ha!  :D

aquilegia

Derek - I'm on my way! I'm missing courgettes again this year (bloody slugs!)

I gave some Gold RUsh seeds to a colleague rather late (May I think). He's already having a good harvest from his.
gone to pot :D

westsussexlottie

I wonder what the secret for gold rush is????

ina

Ahhh, they look so perfect.
Our neighbor finally had the courage last week to say no thank you for the first time, when I offered them for the umpteenth time. She always used to accept happily and I suspected her of passing some on to frineds and family. I guess that market is exhausted but there is always work and when I put a bag of them down there, they are always gone at the end of the day............how much longer?

shaolin101

I wish they were my plants!

My 2 rond plants have died! Dont know why but the leaves and stems went - still trying to bloom flowers but the courgette behind it will not grow after - just shrivles away.

Better luck next time!
Keep getting worried that the stuff I grow will taste nasty - or turn out poisonous!

Forgive me for the slight thread derail..

Derek, you might findhttp://www.rapidshare.de/ helpful. they offer unlimited downloads on files, as long as you can keep your filesize below 50mb it's free. I believe they allow you to split files, so if you know how to use a progam like WinRar you'll be able to upload larger filesizes.

A lot of people use it for shareing their music over the web.

Hope that is useful you..

Lovely courgettes BTW..

Looby Lou's Other half.

Derekthefox

Thank you for that slight digression Looby Lou's OH ! ! !

I am looking into it . . .
