Good book to start with

Wifey has just brought me back a brilliant book for starting veg growing.

The Royal Horticultural Society
'Growing Vegetables'
ISBN:  0 7537 1186 9

Rather than split into each task  i.e. weeding, sowing, harvesting, plant identification etc,  it includes all this in separate chapters by plant type plus chapters on rotation and pests.

Thought I'd mention it for I'm sure I've seen the question asked a couple of times.    In case you can't tell I'm really impressed with this book although I'm being called a 'boring old f*rt' for reading it!!!!    :D...can't win!

We are all boring old farts to those who do not know any better - just try to find out what it is the person who called you this is into - usually in my case it is fashion (loads to talk about there) pop music (ditto|) etc.  Usually, gardening is a lot more involved, with a lot more variation and surprises than anything that interests these you're boring' types.

Nope - just about the time it takes me to harvest them!  You know the formula.  Cut one - chat for half an hour, cut one - chat for half an hour....... ;D
