l have just been watching a very moving documentary/film called into the arms of a stranger.  It was about children who were evacuated to this country in world war two.  I was not even born when the war was on and may be not many of you lot were.these children were mainly Jewish and many were left without there parents after the war, I know this as nothing to do with gardening but this film moved me to tears and I ask everyone not to forget what terrible things were done inthis period of our history and prey to God that it will never happen again.  :-[

sorry everyone for being on my soapbox

Don't apologise for being a kind, compassionate person Richard :)  I didn't see the documentary myself but I would have reacted exactly the same way.  It is always heartbreaking to see the little children suffering whether it was during the World Wars or famines, Iraq and in many other countries in this terrible world of ours. :(
Happy gardening all...........Pat
