(Shame the weather is not hot but these picked flowers from the allotment give the feeling of hot summer colours.)

These are Pinks and Anemone de Caen. Pinks grown from cuttings last year and the anemones from corns planted in the spring. To be honest my soil is too heavy for Pinks and they do not do that well. Half of the plants died over winter. If they don’t survive this winter they place of the plot might be under pressure.

The colour of the Anemone is amazing!

Beautiful photos Jerry.  I'm really envious of your lovely pink Anemones.  Mine have all come up the same colour (pale mauve), even though it was supposed to be a mixed bag :'(   A real touch of summer :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Really pretty. I haven't seen an anemone as intense as those before. I love them.

Hi Sanders, I'm jealous of your Anemone de Caen. Mine come up but don't flower   ???

Thanks all. I have been very pleased with the anemone, bought a packet of corms reduced in Wilkinsons for 50p if I remember correctly.

I only have a small patch, about 20 plants this year but have sown more from seed so will increase them next year as they are such a great cut flower.
