if you look back there's a few threads about this ........
http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,72/topic,20095.0here's one to start you off with.
i built mine from new (chuffed) and just used a spanner thing and a pair of pliers but i think someone mentioned WD40 somewhere along the line and the other helpful hint i remember for transporting the glass is to have it upright like ///////////////// rather than laying it flat.
before i got mine i was scared of buying second hand (cos i hadn't got a clue what i was doing). having now built two, one basic Halls aluminium, and a Norfolk polycarb one, i realise how easy it would have been even without instructions. ::)
for the Halls one, we used their own base on a trench of gravel, with a few bags of readymade concrete (for fence posts) slung all the way around the inside, and for the Norfolk, a 4" x 2" wooden frame sunk the full 4" into our tough old clay soil.
neither one has shifted an inch - yet ! (fingers crossed).
cos it's ridiculous o'clock, i'll see if i can find any more threads for you.
;D
