Topic: Big Max - Yellow Leaves

Does anyone know why my "Big Max" pumpkins leaves are turning yellow?  They are currently in yoghurt pots in my mini-greenhouse.

Any help greatly appreciated. ;D

Tap them out + look at the roots - it the plants are a good size they may well be root-bound.

If so, pot them on into something bigger

Let me know if they're not + we'll think of possible other causes

I think they may well be as the yogart pot's seem quite small in comparison to the size of the seedlings now.  I'll try and have a look today if I get a chance.  there's a new edition to the family who's taking up quite a lot of my veggie time - no complaints from me though!! ;D

My seed leaves have gone yellow, they usually do I seem to remember, they could need potting on though too as Diana has suggested, depends on which leaves are yellow! Congrats on your new distraction! ;D

I stole 5 mins yesterday and potted them on - they did seem fairly root bound.  I'm now waiting to see how they get on.  I'll be planting them out at the beginning of June...

If you click on the link below you'll see how my pumkins turned out - hopefully you won't be offended...   

 I only managed to get two out of the six I planted - those pesky slugs got the rest.  I  didn't think that they could've eaten through the thick skin but they managed it - little rascals.

The desiree are beautiful.  And they're pretty resistant to the old slugs as well which is a bonus.  Saying that though, I boiled a batch yesterday and they tended to break down, I think they're better roasted. 

The only thing I've got left to harvest is Leeks.  It's getting pretty cold up here now, we've had frost a couple of mornings.
